The Polish edition of Lama Jampa Thaye’s book “Wisdom in Exile” is soon to be published by the Khyenkong Karma Kagyu Polska Association
In “Wisdom in Exile”, Lama Jampa analyzes with characteristic precision and clarity the space Buddhism occupies in contemporary culture, a space created by the failure of dominant thought systems.
In our times, Buddhism offers an authentic path to liberation, emphasizing the combination of intelligence and contemplative experience.
However, according to Lama Jampa Thaye, the key is to resist the temptation to assimilate Buddhism into dominant modern ideologies.
“Wisdom in Exile” thus describes the distinctive features of Buddhist thought and practice, and also presents the training in meditation and compassion that constitutes the core of the Buddhist path.
