Lama Walli was practicing for 15 years with the great Gendun Rinpoche as her main teacher. In 1986 Gendun Rinpoche entrusted her with the responsibilities of a Lama and since then she has been a support for the practitioners doing their traditional three-year retreats. In 1996, on the initiation and inspiration of Gendun Rinpoche, a Buddhist centre for lay people in Dordogne, France was founded.
Lama Walli together with lama Henrik took the responsibility over the centre, helping the practitioners on their way, mainly within shorter and longer individual retreats as well as in traditional three-year retreats.
Her husband Chris is a teacher in the Dhagpo Mandala. Shamar Rinpoche appointed him as a Dharma instructor to teach in Bodhi Path centres. For six months in a year, Lama Walli and Lama Chris stay in strict retreat devoted to their own practice, for the other half of the year they are teaching the Dharma in the Karma Kagyu centres operating under the auspices of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and Shamar Rinpoche.
