This was written in response to repeated requests for a long-life prayer for the emanation of Jamgön, son of Beru Khyentse Rinpoche, by me, Thaye Dorje, who has received the blessings of the glorious name of the Karmapa – on the 8th day of the 10th month of the Earth Hare year, of the 17th sexagenary cycle according to our tradition, corresponding to October 17, 1999, a day with favourable astrological conjunctions, from my residence in Kalimpong. Preliminary practices of Mahamudra Ngondro
